Competitive Intelligence Analyst – PDS Tech Commercial | Partnering with a Global Aerospace Leader
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join our client’s forward-looking Strategy Team. In this pivotal role, your work will directly inform business strategy by uncovering the competitive insights that drive innovation, investment, and long-term growth in the aerospace sector.
This contract role can be based in:
Mobile, AL | Herndon, VA | Atlanta, GA | Wichita, KS | Grand Prairie, TX
Competitive Intelligence Gathering – 50%
Collect and analyze competitive data on aircraft technologies, services, industrial operations, supply chain structures, performance, and strategic direction.
Track competitor production and delivery targets for the region.
Work proactively within the intelligence network (Herndon, Mobile, Dallas, Miami, Wichita) to source critical insights.
Ensure all intelligence efforts align with company ethical guidelines.
Intelligence Processing & Reporting – 40%
Transform raw data into actionable intelligence.
Produce concise, well-structured notes and memos for leadership.
Support intelligence collection at U.S. conferences and industry events.
Additional Responsibilities – 10%
Contribute to weekly Intelligence Reports.
Collaborate with the global intelligence community and Strategy teams across multiple sites.
Support special projects and strategic initiatives.
5+ years of combined experience in:
Commercial aircraft products
Aircraft engineering
Aeronautical industry knowledge
Strong OSINT and technical intelligence-gathering skills
Ability to work autonomously with complex data and databases
Proven capability to synthesize information into meaningful intelligence
Strong team mindset and stakeholder-focused approach
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aeronautical Studies, Aircraft Systems, Business, or equivalent
Preferred: Master’s degree or commensurate experience
Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations
Experience collaborating across multi-site and global teams
Travel up to 15% (domestic with occasional international)
Onsite 60%, Remote 40%
