Tool Coordinator
PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking an experienced Tool Coordinator to support a high-impact aircraft maintenance program at NAS New Orleans (Belle Chasse, LA). In this essential role, you will ensure that technicians, mechanics, and maintenance teams have the tools, equipment, and materials needed to keep mission-critical aircraft fully operational.
As a Tool Coordinator, you will manage a fast-paced tool room environment that directly supports flight line operations. Your work ensures safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance activity by maintaining inventory accuracy, issuing tools and equipment, coordinating repairs and calibrations, and supporting daily aircraft maintenance requirements.
Your contributions help keep vital aviation assets mission-ready and ensure maintenance teams can perform at their best.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Conduct beginning and end-of-shift tool and equipment inventories.
Check tools, toolboxes, special equipment, and consumables in and out using an electronic tracking system.
Track calibration dates for equipment such as torque wrenches, lifting devices, and test instruments.
Coordinate repairs, calibration turn-ins, and equipment returns.
Maintain and distribute consumables and hazmat-related items (lube, corrosion compounds, etc.) to mechanics.
Assess and verify maintenance requests for non-production materials, shop supplies, and tool requirements.
Collaborate with support organizations to resolve maintenance issues and avoid schedule impacts.
Review stock levels and manage inventory to support maintenance needs cost-effectively.
Assist with redistribution of inventory and removal of obsolete items.
Prepare reports supporting program and contractual requirements.
Work under limited supervision in an onsite, high-tempo maintenance environment.
Experience in tool maintenance and distribution.
Familiarity with electronic tracking or tool management systems.
Background in inventory or stock management.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and work in a standing, walking, or seated position throughout the shift.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Aircraft maintenance experience or understanding of aviation tool requirements.
Experience working in a flight line or high-tempo maintenance environment.
AA degree in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience,
OR an equivalent combination of education and applicable work experience.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4th Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
Pay Rate starting at : $29.55 per hour
