Systems and Data Analyst

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Systems and Data Analyst to support a major aerospace leader in transforming and optimizing production planning systems across multiple U.S. locations. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive SAP PP enhancements, enable digital manufacturing solutions, and collaborate with experts across engineering, IT, and operations.

As a Systems and Data Analyst, you will be a key contributor to SAP Production Planning (PP) projects—supporting system enhancements, implementing new functionality, and guiding end-to-end solution design. You will collaborate closely with business SMEs, architects, developers, and integrators to strengthen enterprise-wide production planning capabilities.
Your work will directly enhance manufacturing efficiency, streamline digital operations, and support critical aerospace programs.
Lead and participate in workshops to define business requirements and solution strategies.
Collaborate with SMEs, solution architects, developers, and system integrators to design improved SAP PP processes.
Configure SAP systems end-to-end and implement solutions aligned with business and clean-core best practices.
Develop and maintain key documents including BPDs, process flows, FDS, CDD, KDDs, and WRICEF specs.
Translate functional requirements into detailed technical design documentation.
Create test plans, author test scripts, and execute unit and integration testing.
Support project delivery cycles, including root cause analysis and resolution of complex issues.
Utilize and help manage SAP Solution Manager and Signavio tools.
Work with SAP S/4HANA, FIORI applications, and Agile/SAFe methodologies.
Support overall project management using SAP Activate methodology.
Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
10+ years of SAP PP consulting experience.
4+ years of experience with S/4HANA Production Planning.
Hands-on experience with SAP PP and QM modules.
Direct involvement in at least two full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations.
Experience in complex, large-scale SAP Production Planning environments.
Familiarity with SAP interfaces, user exits, batch jobs, and standard SAP reporting.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Deep expertise in SAP Production Planning functions such as MRP, demand management, BOMs, routing, capacity leveling, FIORI apps, and more.
Aerospace and defense industry experience.
Experience with discrete and repetitive manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of ECM/OCM/Batch processes.
Cross-functional SAP integration experience (SD, MM, EWM, FICO, QM, PM).
Experience with WBS and PPDS.
SAP certifications (PP, QM, MM) preferred.
Experience with IBP or similar planning tools.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
