Employee Development Specialist
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Employee Development Specialist to support a major leader in the aerospace industry. In this high-impact role, you will help train, guide, and inspire the next generation of skilled production employees—directly influencing quality, safety, and team success across the organization.
As an Employee Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the New Hire Onboarding program and foundational skills instruction for production employees. Your knowledge of fabrication, assembly, composites, or quality systems will enable you to deliver meaningful, engaging training that empowers new talent and strengthens workforce capability.
• Apply effective instructional techniques—including preparation, delivery, assessment, and remediation
• Deliver training using a variety of media to enhance engagement and retention
• Adapt curriculum and delivery methods based on business-specific learning objectives
• Identify performance-impacting issues and recommend targeted improvement strategies
• Assess training requirements and schedule courses, instructors, and materials
• Analyze and coordinate training requests for new hire, recall, and transfer employees
• Support both 2nd shift and occasional 1st shift training needs
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance to ensure training continuity
• Strong background in Fabrication, Assembly, Composites, and/or Quality Systems
• Education/experience typically acquired through:
– Bachelor’s degree + 6 years of relevant experience, or
– Master’s degree + 4 years of relevant experience, or
– 10 years of directly related experience
• Ability to deliver clear, engaging instruction to groups and individuals
• Strong communication, organization, and curriculum adaptation skills
• Ability to work onsite in Auburn, WA (relocation at candidate expense if out of state)
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
• Experience coordinating training in a production or manufacturing environment
• Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methods
• Background supporting cross-functional teams

• Location: Auburn, WA (Onsite)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd shift (12PM–8PM), with some 1st shift support
• Pay Rate Starting at: $39.73 per hour
