PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Metrology Technician to support a global leader in the aerospace industry. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a hands-on, apprentice-level role where your precision and attention to detail directly support high-impact aerospace programs.
As a Metrology Technician, you will perform critical calibration and certification activities for Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Your work ensures accuracy, safety, and compliance across essential operations. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and make an immediate contribution to a fast-paced technical environment.
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (First Shift)
Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (3 Months)
Pay Rate: $24.15/hour
Calibrate and certify various TMDE assets using certified laboratory standards in accordance with NIST traceability requirements.
Perform troubleshooting, fault isolation, adjustment, and equipment repairs using TMDE-certified standards.
Calibrate linear and dimensional hand tools and related equipment.
Support lab logistics, including tool pickup, database receiving, vendor receiving/shipping, and tool returns.
Assist with additional lab assignments as directed.
High school diploma.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong math skills, including High School–level algebra.
Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Applicable technical training, OR 2 years of direct experience, OR an associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
Experience with calibration management tools such as Indysoft, Fluke Met/Team, Met/Track, or Met/Cal.
Strong computer skills and previous customer service experience.
Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage.
