PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to support a major leader in the aerospace industry. This full-time, onsite role offers the opportunity to work on high-visibility programs while strengthening your electrical and mechanical skillset in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (9 Months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday; variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) based on business need
Pay Rate: $33 per hour
As an Aircraft Mechanic, you’ll support electrical and mechanical work onboard specialized aircraft, ensuring systems are modified, installed, inspected, and tested to the highest quality and safety standards. Your hands-on work directly contributes to mission readiness and program success.
Perform and assist with on-aircraft electrical modifications, wiring, and system component work.
Complete basic connector terminations, including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optics.
Follow wire routing instructions and perform sealing, wrapping, bonding, and closure of wire harnesses.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, specifications, and retrofit requirements.
Conduct assembly, installation, modification, and inspection of wire bundles and electrical assemblies.
Support troubleshooting of electrical and environmental systems at varying maintenance levels.
Assist with operational testing, fault isolation, and aircraft bench/flight line tasks.
Use precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
Adhere to safety, FOD, tool control, and hazardous energy procedures.
Work collaboratively with General Mechanics, Structures, and Avionics teams to meet cost and schedule goals.
Work onsite 100%; may require up to 25% travel.
Perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting 35 lbs, and operating equipment as required.
1+ years of experience performing aircraft electrical/mechanical tasks similar to those listed.
1+ years of knowledge/experience with electrical/electronic theories and systems.
Ability to work rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting, climbing, standing, confined-space work, and PPE use.
Ability to pass required assessments during training.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with Depot-Level or modification maintenance.
Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, or powered elevating equipment.
