Quality Inspection Technician

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-driven Quality Inspection Technician to support a leading innovator in the aerospace industry. This 6-month consulting opportunity places you at the forefront of quality assurance—ensuring that products, processes, and documentation meet the highest standards in an environment where accuracy and reliability truly matter.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and validations that directly impact production quality and contractual compliance. Your work will help maintain rigorous standards that support engineering integrity, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Perform tests, inspections, audits, and validations to ensure compliance with contract, client, and internal quality requirements.
Review and validate material and product certifications.
Use, maintain, and properly care for inspection tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment.
Conduct sampling inspections following approved plans and procedures.
Provide training, guidance, and tutoring to fellow inspection personnel.
Prepare and deliver activity and status reports to management.
Support quality-related activities and perform additional duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2–3 years of experience in a quality inspection role.
Familiarity with material and product certifications.
Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) with some flexibility.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Must adhere to strict drug-free workplace policies, including zero tolerance for marijuana.
Ability to wear and use required PPE—including steel toe shoes.
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Basic knowledge of inspection tools such as calipers, thread gauges, and plug gauges.
Experience in aerospace or government contract environments is a plus.
