Quality Process Improvement Specialist
QUALITY PROCESS IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST – DRIVE OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE IN AEROSPACE
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Quality Process Improvement Specialist to support a leading organization in the aerospace industry. This full-time, 12-month consulting role is an exceptional opportunity to lead quality improvement initiatives that directly enhance reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted quality expert, helping customers elevate their operations through ISO9001:2015 compliance, Lean methodologies, 5S systems, FMEA practices, and robust quality control planning. Your work will shape safer, more efficient, and more predictable processes across storage, production, and design environments.
Provide both onsite and remote support to customer locations, collaborating closely with their teams.
Coordinate schedules, project requirements, and deliverables directly with customers.
Lead root-cause analysis using established quality tools and methodologies.
Conduct follow-up audits to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Collect, analyze, and interpret statistical data to identify trends and drive improvements.
Maintain, update, and refine QMS documents, work instructions, and quality-related content.
Train engineering, supplier, and contract personnel on First Article Inspection, Six Sigma, Process Control, variation reduction, and more.
Provide technical leadership in implementing advanced quality processes such as mistake-proofing, control planning, and statistically based variation reduction.
Prepare and present metrics, dashboards, and reports that highlight quality trends and improvement outcomes.
Deliver activity and status updates to management.
Perform additional duties as required to support quality objectives.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently.
Strong organizational and project management skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Hands-on experience with quality assurance tools and practices, including Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, Lean Six Sigma, 5S, 3P, FMEA, inspections, and product/process audits.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials, supply chain, business, or related technical discipline—or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly operations, quality, engineering, or materials/procurement (aerospace electronics preferred).
Proven experience leading teams focused on problem solving and process improvements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey strategy and processes.
High analytical capability to resolve complex problems and assess daily risks.
Certified Green Belt or equivalent; Lean Expert or Black Belt preferred.
Experience with aerospace or automotive products preferred.

Location: Boulder City, NV (hybrid flexibility available)
Type: Full-time, 12-month contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $42.37 per hour
