This individual contributor role that is knowledgeable enough to mentor others. This person selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products. Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.
• This individual must have the skills, experience to support various critical infrastructure of the SAP Automation systems there are old systems and that needs to be properly maintained and updated as components become obsolete.
• We primarily have Allen Bradley PLC's and either ABB or Fanuc robots.
• This role has to deal with a lot of ambiguity and the individual must be capable of walking into a new situation and quickly get involved and take charge of what needs to be done to get the equipment running.
• Please understand all of this requires a lot of skill and knowledge to maintain and support production operations and to knock down barriers to success. This person is expected to become the expert in their area of responsibility.
• Additionally, this candidate must be able to understand and work with modern facility monitoring and control systems. Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
