Machine Operator
Location: Kinston, NC 28504
Schedule: Monday–Friday; must be available to work any assigned shift
Contract Type: Full-Time Consultant (3 Months)
Pay Rate: $29–$31 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a global leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to support precision manufacturing operations in Kinston, NC. In this hands-on role, you’ll produce high-quality components using both conventional and CNC machinery, contributing to the performance and reliability of cutting-edge aircraft systems. Your expertise will directly impact safety, innovation, and excellence across every product that takes flight.
Set up and operate a variety of conventional and CNC machines to produce precision parts and assemblies.
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine machining operations and setup.
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points for layout and machining.
Perform precision machining operations including milling, drilling, boring, honing, grinding, and fastening.
Verify product quality using statistical process controls and precision measurement instruments.
Conduct routine machine maintenance (e.g., replace filters, maintain coolant levels, and perform basic TPM tasks).
Move materials between operations and assist in maintaining production flow.
Support team members through cross-training and knowledge sharing.
Train to become MVP qualified and continually advance your machining expertise.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of CNC machine operation experience.
Ability to stand and work on your feet for an entire 8-hour shift.
Flexibility to work any assigned shift.
Availability to start November 24, 2025.
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal apprenticeship or equivalent technical training.
Experience working to aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing standards.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
