Location: Kinston, NC | Pay Rate: $34–$37/hr | Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Contract | Schedule: Monday–Friday (must be able to work any shift, including weekends as needed)
PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is hiring an experienced Composite Technician to join our team, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry. In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of aircraft innovation—fabricating and bonding high-performance composite parts that make modern flight possible.

Lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond metal, composite, or laminate fabrications, assemblies, and parts.
Follow engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine bonding requirements.
Operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycles.
Cut, sand, smooth, and seal parts or edges to meet quality standards.
Apply resins, adhesives, and sealants per established procedures.
Verify work meets engineering and process specifications.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring certification and proper functionality.
Support continuous product flow by assisting and training team members.
Perform minor maintenance and complete all necessary production transactions.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on composite experience (aerospace industry required).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Experience operating composite fabrication equipment (autoclaves, presses, ovens).
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift and work assigned shifts/weekends as needed.
Must complete required computer-based training and testing prior to production.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Aerospace documentation and procedures.
Experience with pleating, compaction, final bagging, and edge sealing.
MVP qualification or training experience in composite processes.
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and 6 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination such as:
Master’s + 4 years related experience, or
10 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
