Description:
Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test ruggedized analog and digital electronics for ordnance applications. The role includes analog and digital circuit design, tolerance analysis using hand calculations and SPICE, module design, and troubleshooting with lab equipment. The engineer will lead test activities, perform failure investigations, prepare technical documentation, and drive projects across the product lifecycle.
Qualifications:
BSEE/MSEE or equivalent experience (6+ years analog/digital circuit design).
Experience with power electronics, serial communication buses (UART, SPI, I2C), sensors (temperature, MEMS, gyros, pressure), EMI/ESD protection, schematic capture/layout (Altium/PADS), and simulation tools (LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink).
Strong troubleshooting, project leadership, and documentation skills.
Preferred: ESAD/ISD design experience, MIL-STD compliance, energetic materials testing, and design for extreme environments (shock, vibration, temperature, humidity).
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute all phases of circuit and module design.
Develop and execute test plans; generate reports for verification and qualification.
Perform root cause analysis and structured failure investigations.
Interface with internal and external customers and lead design reviews.
Provide input for RFPs and generate engineering change proposals.
