Summary:
Designs, develops, and executes software test and verification processes to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.
Configures and maintains test environments, including hardware, software, and network setups to replicate production systems.
Partners with stakeholders to define requirements, test objectives, and strategies.
Creates and maintains detailed test plans, procedures, and automated test frameworks.
Executes test cases to verify performance, safety, and functionality; identifies and reports defects and vulnerabilities.
Provides results and recommendations to improve software design and reliability.
Performs project management activities across multifunctional test and verification teams.
Sets up and maintains Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) automation systems for avionics testing.
Leads HIL test environment setup, automation, and integration with CI/CD (DevSecOps) systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree and 3+ years of software engineering experience, or Master s degree with 1+ year.
Must work onsite in Cambridge, MA (no relocation).
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Proficient in NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, and NI LabVIEW (or similar platforms) for HIL testing.
Experienced with NI PXIe hardware integration and avionics communication protocols (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN).
Skilled in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and data acquisition/signal processing.
Familiar with FPGA testing, automated verification, and version control (e.g., Git).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; effective collaborator across cross-functional teams.
Willingness to leverage AI tools in HIL development; experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with modern HIL techniques and/or AI tool integration.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance if sponsored.
