Summary:

Perform complex trade studies, modeling, simulations, and other analyses to predict component, interconnect, and system performance, optimizing designs for E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects) performance.

Work under minimal direction to ensure Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of electronics, wiring, and structural components.

Interface with manufacturing teams to address complex E3 design aspects and coordinate with suppliers to ensure system-level compatibility.

Report technical progress, issues, and resolutions to program management and customers.

Support project management by developing work statements, budgets, schedules, and conducting appropriate reviews.

Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications.

Apply EMI engineering expertise to document and resolve complex technical challenges.

Conduct analyses, modeling, and simulation to optimize component and system performance.

Apply conversion, correction, and antenna factors to EMI/EMC analyses and tests.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings in technical review boards.

Compile engineering data into comprehensive reports, tables, and visual summaries.

Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Bachelor s degree and 9+ years of related experience, or Master s degree with 7+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 4+ years of experience.

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited program.

Strong understanding of electromagnetic concepts, including RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering.

Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

7+ years of related work experience (Expert Level).

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.

Knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC standards.

Prior experience with Aerospace Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3).

Experience with EMI qualification testing for aircraft LRUs, including reviewing procedures and test reports.

Familiarity with aircraft-level E3 requirements and test methods within MIL-STD-464.

Knowledge of electrical bonding best practices for E3 compliance.

Background in RF systems and/or computational E3 analytical software tools.

ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
