Summary:

Perform complex trade studies, modeling, simulations, and analyses to predict component, interconnect, and system performance, optimizing design for E3 performance.

Work under minimal direction to achieve Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of electronics, wiring, and structures.

Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure system-level E3 compatibility.

Report technical progress, challenges, and accomplishments to program management and customers.

Support project management by developing work statements, budgets, schedules, and conducting reviews.

Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications.

Apply EMI engineering principles to document and resolve complex technical problems.

Conduct analyses using conversion, correction, and antenna factors for EMI/EMC testing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings in internal and external reviews.

Prepare and present technical data through reports, tables, and visualizations.

Requirements.:

Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Bachelor s degree and 9+ years of related experience, or Master s degree with 7+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 4+ years of experience.

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.

Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics, or Physics.

Strong understanding of electromagnetic concepts, including RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering.

Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Minimum of 7 years of related work experience (Expert Level).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.

Knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC standards.

Experience with Aerospace Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3).

Familiarity with EMI qualification testing for aircraft LRUs, including procedure and report review.

Understanding of aircraft-level E3 requirements and test methods within MIL-STD-464.

Knowledge of electrical bonding best practices for E3 compliance.

Background in RF systems and/or computational E3 analytical software tools.
