PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join our team in Titusville, FL, supporting one of the world’s foremost aerospace and defense organizations. This full-time, 12-month consulting role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on groundbreaking aircraft programs such as the US E-7A, VC-25B, and KC-46A Tanker.
As a key member of the Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) Electromagnetic Effects Group, you’ll help ensure that advanced systems operate safely and effectively in complex electromagnetic environments—contributing to the continued airworthiness and mission readiness of high-profile aircraft.
Perform detailed trade studies, modeling, and simulation to predict and optimize electromagnetic performance.
Achieve electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) across electronics, wiring, and structures under minimal direction.
Partner with manufacturing teams and suppliers to ensure system-level compatibility and compliance.
Support project management activities, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and technical reviews.
Apply EMI engineering expertise to troubleshoot, document, and resolve complex E3 challenges.
Participate in qualification testing, reviewing procedures and reports for EMI/EMC compliance (MIL-STD-461/464, DO-160).
Collaborate on cross-functional teams, presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Generate and organize engineering data, graphs, and reports for inclusion in technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in Electromagnetic Compatibility or related engineering field.
Strong understanding of RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering concepts.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
ABET-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Active U.S. Security Clearance.
Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
Proficiency with MIL-STD-461/464, DO-160, and aircraft-level E3 test methods.
Hands-on experience with RF systems and E3 analytical software tools.
Familiarity with electrical bonding practices for E3 compliance.
Job Type: Full-time; 12-Month Consultant
Location: Titusville, FL (fully onsite; local candidates only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (Start between 6–9 AM; consistent hours once established)
Pay Rate: Starting at $63.97/hour
Duration: 1 year, with potential for extension
