Pay Rate: Starting at $63.68 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aerospace leader to hire an experienced Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK. In this critical role, you’ll join the Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) Electromagnetic Effects Group, supporting advanced aircraft programs such as the US E-7A, VC-25B, and KC-46A Tanker.
As part of this elite engineering team, you’ll apply your expertise in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) to design, test, and integrate cutting-edge systems that ensure mission readiness, safety, and continued airworthiness for some of the most sophisticated defense and surveillance aircraft in the world.
Perform trade studies, modeling, simulations, and analyses to optimize aircraft systems and components for E3 performance.
Ensure Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of aircraft wiring, electronics, and structural components.
Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers to achieve system-level compatibility and compliance.
Support project management with technical inputs, schedule coordination, and program reviews.
Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications and system verification.
Analyze and interpret EMI/EMC test data, preparing detailed technical reports and documentation.
Present findings and technical recommendations in cross-functional and customer review meetings.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics, or Physics.
5 or more years of related experience in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) or E3 engineering.
Strong working knowledge of RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering principles.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or advanced degree (Master’s/PhD).
Active or previous U.S. Security Clearance.
Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
Working knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC standards.
Hands-on experience with aircraft-level E3 requirements, qualification testing, and electrical bonding best practices.
Familiarity with RF systems and computational E3 analytical tools.
