PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join the team supporting a global leader in aerospace innovation. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping the Human Resources department running smoothly — supporting recruiting, training, security, and employee communications to ensure an efficient, compliant, and engaging workplace.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, benefits, and system navigation.
Partner with leadership on talent assessments, succession planning, and staffing needs.
Support the creation and maintenance of position descriptions for new and existing roles.
Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources.
Initiate background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding activities.
Coordinate and execute employee engagement events and draft internal communications.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and organizational data.
Welcome and assist visitors, manage front desk operations, and ensure lobby security.
Support facility security functions, including badge creation, visitor access, and CCTV monitoring.
Perform additional HR and administrative duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in an HR-related role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
Ability to work 100% onsite and handle physical requirements such as light lifting (up to 30 lbs).
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting HR operations in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Familiarity with HRIS systems and compliance best practices.
Customer service experience in a corporate or technical setting.
