Summary:
Provide technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and repairing discrepancies to minimize schedule impact
Implement process improvements to reduce cost and meet schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality
Support senior-level coverage as needed to ensure company safety, quality, and schedule objectives are met
Perform avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting
Install and functionally test electrical and avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals
Ensure quality and efficiency of installations; troubleshoot systems and processes to deliver timely, high-quality repairs
Repair or replace defective components and wiring using approved methods, including splicing, soldering, and pinning
Perform engineering changes and aircraft modifications as required
Set up, operate, and maintain required test equipment
Conduct functional and operational tests to verify system performance and reliability
Ensure all aircraft work is properly documented and inspection-ready
Test and maintain electronic systems, components, and test equipment
Comply with FOD, tool control, 5S programs, and all safety regulations
Adapt to changing schedules and priorities
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including participation in flight tests as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field OR
Two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus two (2) years of related experience
Preferred working knowledge of aircraft systems beyond avionics, including hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural repairs
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license preferred
FCC and/or NCATT certification preferred
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
