Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a world-renowned aerospace innovator, is seeking a Software Engineer – Artificial Intelligence to join a pioneering initiative advancing AI applications in avionics and software engineering. In this full-time, 12-month onsite position based in Cambridge, MA, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing AI solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency across next-generation aerospace systems.

What You’ll Do:
As a Software Engineer focused on Artificial Intelligence, you’ll leverage AI-driven tools and frameworks to push the boundaries of aerospace software innovation. Working with a dynamic team of engineers and domain experts, you’ll contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects that shape how AI integrates with critical flight systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and deploying AI algorithms and models that meet aerospace standards and performance goals.

• Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to ensure accuracy, quality, and actionable insights.

• Testing, validating, and optimizing AI models to ensure efficiency, scalability, and safety.

• Using AI tools to enhance software code generation, system reliability, and testing automation.

• Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust AI-driven solutions.

• Documenting and monitoring AI models in production, improving performance and maintaining compliance with safety and data privacy standards.

• Researching emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to drive continuous innovation in aerospace systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent education/experience combination.

• Proficiency in Python, C, or C++ (experience with ADA or avionics software a plus).

• Demonstrated experience with AI or machine learning algorithms and tools.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

• Must be able to work fully onsite in Cambridge, MA.

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

• Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and automated software testing tools.

• Experience integrating AI into software development and verification processes.

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
