Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a global aerospace industry leader, is seeking a Test & Verification Engineer to help shape the future of flight technology. In this full-time, onsite role, you’ll play a key part in a new software engineering initiative focused on cutting-edge CI/CD pipelines and AI tools. Your expertise will ensure that critical aerospace systems meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety.
What You’ll Do:
As a Test & Verification Engineer, you will work on the forefront of aerospace innovation, testing and verifying the software that powers advanced avionics systems. You’ll collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure flawless performance and mission success.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Designing and executing test plans, cases, and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems.
Setting up and configuring test environments, including hardware, software, and network systems that replicate production environments.
Developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes and increase efficiency.
Performing system-level verification using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) automation systems for avionics platforms.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize test coverage.
Analyzing and reporting test results, providing feedback to improve software quality and reliability.
Using tools such as NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, and NI LabVIEW for automation and test integration.
Managing version control systems (e.g., Git) to ensure consistency across test environments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a software engineering or test engineering role, or a Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience.
Hands-on experience with test and verification of complex systems.
Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB.
Must be able to work fully onsite in Cambridge, MA.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, and NI LabVIEW or similar HIL test automation tools.
Familiarity with avionics communication protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, or CAN.
Experience verifying and validating avionics display systems.
Knowledge of data acquisition and signal processing techniques.
Familiarity with modern HIL testing methods and AI tools.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
