Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a global aerospace innovator, is seeking a DevSecOps Software Engineer to help redefine how mission-critical software is developed, tested, and deployed. In this full-time, onsite role, you’ll drive advancements in secure software delivery, CI/CD automation, and AI integration, directly influencing the performance and safety of next-generation aerospace systems.
What You’ll Do:
As a DevSecOps Software Engineer, you’ll lead the development and optimization of secure, automated software pipelines and testing systems for complex aerospace applications. Your expertise will ensure that critical flight software meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and verify software systems to ensure quality, reliability, and security throughout the lifecycle.
Oversee and advance CI/CD pipelines enabling rapid, secure integration and deployment of safety-critical software.
Develop automated test scripts and frameworks using tools such as PyTest, Selenium, or JUnit to enhance test efficiency.
Set up and maintain test environments, including hardware, software, and networks that replicate production systems.
Collaborate with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) teams to integrate and automate system-level software and hardware testing.
Implement and manage DevSecOps tools and practices — including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), and monitoring systems (Prometheus, ELK Stack).
Lead and mentor junior engineers, guiding technical direction and ensuring adherence to best practices.
Utilize AI tools to improve software development and deployment efficiency.
Communicate technical progress and challenges to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of software engineering experience, or Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience.
Strong background in DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and software automation.
Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
Proficiency in testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, PyTest).
Must be able to work fully onsite in Cambridge, MA.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
7+ years of software engineering or DevSecOps experience (Technical Lead/Level 5).
Expertise in Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack) and artifact repositories (Nexus, Artifactory).
Experience integrating AI tools into CI/CD pipelines.
Proven ability to lead small technical teams and deliver complex software initiatives.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
