Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with a global aerospace leader, is seeking an experienced Test & Verification Engineer to join a groundbreaking software engineering initiative focused on CI/CD pipelines, AI-driven tools, and next-generation avionics testing. This full-time, 12-month onsite role in Cambridge, MA is an opportunity to contribute directly to the technologies that define the future of aerospace systems and flight safety.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of advanced aerospace software and hardware systems. You’ll lead the design, development, and execution of test and verification activities across complex avionics platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and executing test plans, cases, and scenarios that ensure compliance with software requirements and specifications.
Setting up and configuring test environments that replicate production conditions, including hardware, software, and network configurations.
Developing automated test scripts and frameworks to optimize testing efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborating closely with CI/CD (DevSecOps) teams to integrate automated testing into deployment pipelines.
Leading Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing and automation using tools such as NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, and NI LabVIEW.
Performing software project management functions across test and verification activities with cross-functional engineering teams.
Providing detailed test results, analysis, and feedback to improve product design and ensure robust system performance.
Advising on modern testing techniques, including the use of AI tools and FPGA architecture in verification environments.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree with 3+ years, PhD with 1+ year).
Strong background in software verification, automation, and systems testing.
Proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar languages.
Hands-on experience with HIL testing and hardware integration (e.g., NI PXIe systems).
Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and data acquisition/signal processing techniques.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise with NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, and NI LabVIEW, or equivalent HIL platforms.
Knowledge of avionics communication protocols (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN).
Experience with FPGA testing/architecture and avionics display system validation.
Familiarity with modern HIL techniques and AI-assisted testing tools.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
