Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Shift: Weekend Shift Friday to Monday, 6:30 AM 5:00 PM (potential for overtime)
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years required to apply

Summary:
Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, fabrication, and material handling.
Drives the adoption of new technologies and processes, including automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software, to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
Creates and analyzes 3D-based model data to optimize manufacturing processes and develop accurate digital work instructions.
Leverages expertise in materials and automated processes to define operational procedures and build sequences that ensure operational excellence.
Evaluates equipment, tools, and IoT devices for performance and efficiency, identifying and implementing corrective actions where needed.
Utilizes factory data and statistical process control (SPC) methods to develop and integrate data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
Provides engineering input to product design to optimize manufacturing concepts, specifications, and equipment utilization.
Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years (required to apply)
Minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience (not a planner role)
CATIA V5 proficiency
Experience with structural assembly or sub-systems
Aviation or aerospace industry experience
Background in first-time build or new product development projects
Experience working cross-functionally with industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, quality assurance, and/or production teams
Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, machining, and electrical processes in areas such as composites, metallics, bonded assemblies, and installations
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement initiatives
Experience with MRP systems, SAP, or other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
