Product Review Engineer

Schedule: Monday – Friday; must be available for all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), as well as weekend or daily overtime.
Starting Pay : $66.83 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking an experienced Product Review Engineer to support an industry-leading aerospace partner in San Antonio, TX. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll work directly with production teams to identify, assess, and resolve complex product and process issues throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Apply broad knowledge of engineering principles to assess and resolve product and process issues across the full product lifecycle.
Conduct root cause analysis and develop interim and final engineering solutions for design nonconformances.
Research, develop, and implement product and process improvements to enhance manufacturing performance and reliability.
Lead investigations of technical, operational, and quality issues, developing and managing effective resolutions.
Support factory operations by providing on-site engineering assistance and ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
Provide subject matter expertise during design phases, supporting Integrated Product Teams and participating in design reviews.
Develop and validate repair solutions, including static strength analyses and non-destructive test procedures.
Support training and technical development initiatives to improve overall engineering processes and knowledge sharing.
This position involves daily work in a factory environment, including exposure to stairs, trip hazards, high noise levels, and chemicals, as well as entering aircraft at various stages of build.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems).
5+ years of experience designing structural and electrical rework or repairs to restore aircraft or systems to original design capability.
Previous experience with commercial material review processes.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
8+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installation, or electrical systems maintenance.
Proficient in reading and creating engineering drawings, specifications, and design manuals.
Experience conducting root cause analysis and developing dispositions for nonconformances.
Proven ability to identify and drive product and process improvement initiatives.
MRB/UPR approval authority certification a plus.
Experience with executive interior installation/design, modifications, or repairs on wide-body aircraft.
