Structural Design Engineer

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $59.30 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our partner, a global leader in aerospace innovation. In this role, you’ll apply advanced engineering principles and materials expertise to design and develop the structures that make flight possible. Your work will directly influence the safety, performance, and efficiency of next-generation aircraft.
Develop, integrate, document, and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs for performance, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.
Apply knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and tools in a collaborative environment to drive design excellence.
Create and refine primary and secondary structure designs, including payloads, weights, and lofting.
Ensure designs meet functional adequacy, cost-effectiveness, and production feasibility.
Collaborate across engineering disciplines to optimize structures and resolve design challenges.
Maintain detailed records and documentation supporting design, analysis, and integration activities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (required).
Strong background in metallic structural design.
Proficiency with CATIA and experience using ENOVIA design and data management systems.
Hands-on experience in aerospace product development, aero structures, and new design projects.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with commercial aircraft structures or large-scale aerospace programs.
Deep understanding of flight vehicle design, analysis, and integration.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic engineering environment.
