Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Consultant
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM (First Shift)
Starting Pay: $38.58  per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Support Engineer to join our partner’s innovative aerospace team in Fort Walton Beach, FL. In this critical role, you’ll transform complex engineering data into actionable support solutions that enhance mission readiness, reliability, and aircraft performance.
You’ll work alongside top-tier professionals developing maintenance concepts, provisioning plans, and technical documentation that directly impact the safety, efficiency, and longevity of cutting-edge defense systems.
Interpret and analyze engineering, logistics, reliability, and maintainability data to develop comprehensive support solutions.
Provide recommendations on product supportability and establish maintenance tasks and support resource requirements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for operating, testing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft systems and components.
Identify and analyze logistics support candidates and create logistics support analysis records and reports.
Determine spares provisioning requirements and recommend spare and replacement part levels and stocking strategies.
Evaluate aircraft and fleet performance to establish and refine maintenance concepts.
Support the collection, evaluation, and storage of system support technical data and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational reliability and sustainment.
Required Qualifications:
Previous defense platform experience supporting a military customer (fighter aircraft preferred).
Hands-on experience with Radar/Electronic Warfare Systems (must-have).
Minimum 3 years of Avionics Systems Maintenance experience on aircraft.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Outlook.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Communications/Navigation, Electrical, Weapons, or Integration Systems.
Technical publication authoring experience a strong plus.
Education / Experience:
Typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related work experience,
or a Master’s degree with 1+ year of related experience,
or 7+ years of equivalent industry experience.
