Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Summary:

Lead the development, testing, and maintenance of web applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.

Lead the review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial software design.

Coordinate the development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software products and system integrations.

Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products.

Participate in the agile software development lifecycle, including planning, reviews, and customer meetings.

Debug and lead resolution of technical issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency.

Lead handling of user inquiries, troubleshooting, and user feedback analysis.

Research and implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development.

Lead the development, monitoring, and improvement of software processes, tools, and key performance metrics to align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.

Execute and document software R&D projects.

Provide consultation on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.

Lead software project management and supplier management activities.

Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Requirements:

Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance required (must have been active within the past 24 months).

Typically requires advanced technical education (Bachelor s or higher) in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, plus 9+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., PhD + 4 years, Master s + 7 years). ABET accreditation preferred but not required.

3+ years of experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

3+ years of experience in Python.

Experience with software architecture principles and design patterns.

Experience with agile software development and structured development processes.

Bachelor s degree in a STEM field.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

7+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited program.

Experience leading an agile software development team.

Experience with relational databases.

Experience with React, Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Experience with infrastructure tooling, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience building regression test suites.
