Summary:

Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced systems for Communications Satellites Command and Control architectures, platform development, and network infrastructure.

Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, ensuring compatibility across all physical, functional, and program interfaces.

Conduct technology trade studies, identify evaluation criteria, and perform cost and feasibility analyses.

Perform system-level analyses to optimize mission performance, affordability, reliability, maintainability, testability, systems integration, survivability, and system security.

Develop and manage requirements management processes, tools, and risk/opportunity tracking.

Resolve cross-functional technical issues to maintain project alignment and technical integrity.

Requirements:

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.

9+ years of related work experience OR 3+ years with a Master s degree.

Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, processes, and tools.

Experience with Jira and Confluence.

Proven experience designing systems-of-systems communication architectures.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic satellite mission operations experience.

Experience with requirements definition, allocation, and decomposition.

Knowledge of DOORS and requirements management processes.

Understanding of satellite telemetry, command and control architectures, and ground control software.

Familiarity with satellite ground stations and network integration.
