Location: North Charleston, SC 29418 | Starting Pay Rate: $31.09/hour | Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Contract | Schedule: Monday–Friday; Must be available for all shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Assembler to join our team, partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry. In this critical role, you’ll help bring world-class aircraft to life — ensuring every component, system, and structure meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and innovation.
Your expertise and craftsmanship will directly contribute to the assembly and performance of advanced aircraft systems that support global flight operations and future aerospace technologies.
As an Assembler, you’ll perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems. You’ll work with precision, skill, and attention to detail to ensure every product meets strict aerospace specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced assembly and installation of structural, mechanical, and electrical components using manual and automated tools.
Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, and fault repair of aircraft electrical systems and components.
Assess and document test results to verify compliance with engineering requirements.
Identify and communicate production constraints or issues, collaborating with team members to resolve challenges.
Support team development through cross-training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or higher education and equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
7+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.
7+ years of experience troubleshooting avionics systems, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions in English.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office and other specialized software tools.
Willingness and ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) as required.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Comfortable working in varied positions and environments, including ladders, scaffolding, and confined areas.
Training:
8–10 weeks of on-site training provided.
