Summary:
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to support a major aerospace leader in Jacksonville, FL. In this critical role, you’ll perform structural repairs and modifications that directly impact military readiness and global security. Every task you complete contributes to keeping aircraft mission-ready for the men and women who depend on them.
What You’ll Do:
As part of our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization, you’ll work on complex aircraft systems — including military commercial derivatives and fighter aircraft — performing precision structural maintenance and ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform aircraft structures work on the P-8 aircraft with precision and accuracy.
Identify and install various fasteners (rivets, screws, hi-locks, bolts, lock bolts, etc.).
Read and interpret blueprints, process data sheets, and maintenance instruction manuals.
Execute close tolerance drilling within .001 inches and precision measurements within .0005 inches on both metallic and composite structures.
Apply aircraft finishes such as primer, paint, sealant, and Alodine.
Perform part fabrication, trimming, and assembly of components to blueprint specifications.
Remove and reinstall access panels, perform corrosion control, and ensure all work meets regulatory and contractual compliance.
Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and depth tools for inspection and verification.
Work safely at heights using fall protection equipment (Fall Protection Certification required).
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of related aircraft maintenance experience.
Proficiency in close tolerance hole drilling, part location and fabrication, and blueprint reading.
Strong understanding of aircraft fasteners, materials, and fabrication techniques.
Basic mathematical and Microsoft Office skills.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Ability to meet OSHA Fall Protection standards and complete required certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience supporting military or commercial derivative aircraft programs.
Knowledge of MRO and Component Operations processes and documentation.
Demonstrated commitment to first-time quality, teamwork, and safety.
Work Details:
Job Type: Full-time; Consultant (6 months)
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday; must be willing to work variable shifts
1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Starting Pay: $30.86 per hour
