PDS Tech Commercial is seeking skilled Aviation Maintenance Technicians to join our team in partnership with a leader in the aerospace industry. This is your opportunity to make a direct impact on military warfighter readiness by performing essential maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) work that ensures aircraft safety, performance, and mission success.
As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you’ll work hands-on in a fast-paced MRO environment supporting the repair and overhaul of F18-EF flight controls and other critical aircraft structures. You’ll ensure precision workmanship and maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Performing structural repairs and modifications on strike fighters, commercial derivative aircraft, and flight control components.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals to execute precise repairs.
Drilling and precision measuring within .001–.003 tolerances.
Identifying, installing, and removing fasteners such as rivets, hi-locks, bolts, and lock bolts.
Applying aircraft finishes, including primer, paint, sealants, and Alodine treatments.
Using specialized tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and bore gauges to ensure accuracy.
Maintaining detailed maintenance documentation and technical logs.
Following all safety procedures and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
3+ years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic (commercial, defense, or trade apprenticeship).
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Proficiency in precision drilling and measurement within .003 tolerance.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with metallic and composite structures.
Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives, Technical Directives, and Service Bulletins.
Familiarity with aircraft jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
