Aviation Maintenance Technician
Location: Jacksonville, FL | Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (6 months) | Starting Pay Rate: $30.86/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, variable shifts
1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking skilled Aviation Maintenance Technicians to support a leader in the aerospace industry. This is your opportunity to make a direct impact on military warfighter readiness by performing vital maintenance, repairs, and modifications on military aircraft and components. The work you do will help ensure the reliability, safety, and strength of global defense operations.
As part of our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization, you will:
Perform electrical work on P-8 aircraft and other key military/commercial derivative programs.
Troubleshoot, repair, and install wire bundles, terminations, and aircraft components.
Interpret and work from detailed blueprint schematics and technical documentation.
Ensure adherence to established processes, regulatory compliance, and accurate work recording.
Operate at heights using fall protection equipment (training and certification provided).
This role requires precision, collaboration, and commitment to first-time quality in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
Required:
3–5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
Background in 737 aircraft maintenance.
Skilled in handling fiber and terminating/installing wire bundles.
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and wiring diagrams.
Proven ability to work independently and efficiently.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Education:
High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Preferred:
Military and/or corporate aviation maintenance experience.
