Empower Aerospace Innovation Through Data

PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a highly skilled Data Solution Architect to join the Airplane Systems Integration team. In this role, you’ll design and optimize data solutions that power next-generation aircraft systems and engineering insights.

Your work will directly influence how data is gathered, analyzed, and used to improve design, safety, and efficiency across one of the most complex and advanced industries in the world.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL routines, data warehouses, and Power BI reports.

• Optimize and automate data pipelines, ensuring repeatable, scalable, and high-performance ETL solutions.

• Build and manage database structures, dashboards, and reporting systems using Microsoft SQL Server and related tools.

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and quality through validation, monitoring, and testing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver actionable business intelligence.

• Support and improve current on-premises and cloud-based data infrastructures.

• Work with AI models and data scientists to integrate advanced analytics into operational systems.

• Mentor and guide other data and analytics professionals on best practices and data standards.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within enterprise data systems.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing data warehousing solutions, dashboards, and analytics.

• Strong expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, and stored procedure development on Microsoft SQL Server.

• Proven ability to design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Solid understanding of system architecture, database design, and data warehousing principles.

• Familiarity with AI concepts and algorithms, and experience integrating data with ML/AI systems.

• Skilled in REST API/mTLS for data extraction across physical and cloud environments.

• Experience in data visualization and UX design for data-driven dashboards and interfaces.
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

• 10–15+ years of experience in data engineering or enterprise data architecture.

• Background in aviation or aerospace industries.

• Demonstrated success in transforming internal business processes through automation and advanced analytics.
