PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Systems Project Engineer to join our team, partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in advancing cutting-edge defense and electronic warfare capabilities that shape the future of aerospace technology.
As a Systems Project Engineer, you’ll oversee the development and integration of complex communication, sensor, and electronic warfare systems. You’ll work hands-on with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, guiding projects from concept through validation — ensuring every component performs seamlessly within advanced aerospace platforms. Your work will directly influence mission-critical systems that protect and empower users around the world.
Develop and validate requirements for communication, sensor, and electromagnetic systems and components.
Create architectures that integrate complex systems into higher-level platforms.
Perform trade studies, modeling, and analysis to optimize performance and design efficiency.
Lead and track project progress — ensuring milestones, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Maintain strong communication with customers, leadership, and suppliers to ensure technical excellence and alignment.
Conduct and document tests to verify that designs meet rigorous system requirements.
Support products throughout their lifecycle, from manufacturing through operational deployment.
Prepare proposals, project plans, and performance reports for leadership review.
Required:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
9+ years of related experience (7+ with a Master’s, 4+ with a PhD).
Proven experience managing technical projects and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred:
Direct program or project management experience.
Hardware engineering background.
Experience with internal and external customer communication.
Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) and project performance tracking.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: Full-Time; 12-Month Consultant Assignment
Starting Pay Range: $68.64 per hour
