Aeronautical Engineer

Pay Rate: $72.54 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Aeronautical Engineer to join our team, partnering with a global leader in aerospace technology. As part of a highly skilled engineering team, you’ll perform analysis, design, and testing for complex materials, structures, and functional systems that define the next generation of aerospace performance.
Perform analysis, design, and testing of complex materials, structural components, and functional systems.
Apply engineering principles and mathematical methods to define and solve technical problems.
Develop, refine, and release design data after review and validation.
Conduct detailed studies to adapt and enhance existing designs for improved performance and manufacturability.
Utilize advanced structural and design tools, including Siemens NX, to execute and validate designs.
Plan and manage test programs to evaluate structural and system designs.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence and on-time project execution.
Engage with senior technical personnel and customers on significant design and integration matters.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
Proven experience in mechanical design, structural analysis, and tolerance analysis.
Proficiency with Siemens NX and GD&T principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to precision and quality.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Experience in integration and hardware assembly builds.
Background in developing and managing test programs for aerospace systems.
