Location: San Antonio, TX 78217 | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Contract: 8 Months (Full-Time Consultant) | Starting Pay: $53.26 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Manufacturing Engineer in San Antonio, Texas. This role plays a vital part in ensuring production excellence, flight readiness, and the successful delivery of next-generation aircraft.
You’ll be at the forefront of engineering solutions that bridge design and production—enhancing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across the build lifecycle.
Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies to support aircraft build and readiness.
Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate solutions across engineering disciplines.
Lead and implement manufacturing plans, ensuring producibility and process capability align with program requirements.
Conduct variation and producibility analyses to optimize performance and cost.
Provide shipside support to identify process improvements and resolve build questions.
Coordinate with other engineering teams to manage nonconformances and ensure alignment.
Enhance and develop build plans to support aircraft storage, reactivation, and pre-flight activities.
Support airplane induction to and from the San Antonio facility.
Work flexibly across 1st and 2nd shifts, including weekends on a rotational basis.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (ABET-accredited program preferred).
Experience in manufacturing engineering within the aerospace industry.
Proven ability to develop, analyze, and implement production solutions in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting major aerospace manufacturing programs.
Familiarity with Velocity, ENOVIA, and IVT systems.
Experience with interior commodities, build plan development, and shipside support.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
