Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM)
Contract: Full Time, Consultant (12 Months)
Starting Pay: $39.73 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry to find a dedicated Employee Development Specialist who will play a key role in empowering the next generation of aerospace professionals. In this position, you’ll use your technical expertise and instructional skill to design, deliver, and refine training programs that enhance performance, ensure quality, and advance operational excellence across aerospace manufacturing operations.
As an Employee Development Specialist, you’ll guide employees toward mastery in key aerospace disciplines while ensuring compliance, safety, and innovation remain at the forefront. Your day-to-day work will include:
Conducting learning needs analyses and defining clear training objectives.
Designing and delivering high-quality, hands-on training content across specialized areas such as Electrical, Structural, Quality, or Systems.
Coaching individuals and teams to improve skills, productivity, and performance.
Facilitating classroom and on-the-job training, using a variety of delivery methods to ensure engagement and knowledge retention.
Monitoring and assessing training effectiveness, tracking performance, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Leading Train-the-Trainer sessions to qualify new instructors.
Ensuring all training meets regulatory and organizational standards, with an emphasis on safety and quality.
Collaborating across departments to identify performance gaps and recommend development strategies.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations or manufacturing support.
Proven experience in employee development, coaching, or instruction.
Strong ability to design and deliver leadership development or technical training programs.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace Manufacturing and Lean Certifications.
Background in Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Seal, or Systems work.
Prior experience as a mechanic in aerospace environments.
Knowledge of needs assessment, job analysis, and advanced instructional methods.
Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
