Starting Pay Rate: $66.33 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking talented Systems Engineers to join our team, partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, integration, and certification of advanced aircraft systems that define the future of commercial aviation. Your work will directly influence safety, performance, and innovation across one of the world’s most complex engineering environments.
As a key member of the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team, you will collaborate with experts across hardware, software, safety, and testing disciplines to ensure robust, compliant, and cutting-edge system solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation from aircraft to system level.
Developing and maintaining functional and logical architectures for airplane systems.
Ensuring completion of Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), PSSA, SSA, and CMA to meet safety objectives.
Guiding item design, implementation, and traceability through all stages of development.
Planning and executing Verification & Validation (V&V) across the Systems Engineering V-Model.
Supporting compliance efforts for FAA/EASA certification and applicable aerospace standards.
Participating in design reviews, audits, and technical interchange meetings to ensure alignment and quality.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related field.
9+ years of experience in the systems engineering lifecycle for aerospace or complex systems.
Strong command of V-Diagram processes (requirements, design, implementation, verification, validation).
Expertise in safety assessments (FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, FMEA/FMES).
Familiarity with certification frameworks (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254).
Proven ability to analyze, document, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
Knowledge of system modeling (SysML/UML, Cameo, or equivalent).
Background in test planning and execution across integration levels.
Prior exposure to aircraft design, development, and certification processes.
