Summary:
Perform safe and accurate assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting of structural parts and assemblies per requirements.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine assembly sequence and specifications.
Perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts and equipment.
Rivet and remove fasteners using proper tools without damaging structures.
Verify work for accuracy and ensure defect-free assemblies prior to inspection.
Train and assist teammates with blueprint interpretation and troubleshooting production issues.
Maintain accurate logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, CRABs, PCOs, etc.).
Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, and fixtures per blueprints or instructions.
Perform rework and repairs per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all 5S, Lean, and safety initiatives.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Properly use and return company tools and equipment.
Follow SOPs for operating ground support equipment.
Properly collect and dispose of waste fluids and materials.
Accurately record daily job charging and participate in shift turnover meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
4 years of related structural assembly experience
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
Q-stamp preferred
Basic computer and shop math skills.
Ability to read and comprehend documents, blueprints, and scales.
Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
Skilled in close-tolerance work and use of special tools/equipment.
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
Must be able to work any shift, climb ladders and stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
