Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift (7:18 AM–3:48 PM) | Pre-shift overtime starting at 5:18 AM | Initial training on 2nd shift
Contract Type: Full-Time, 6-Month Consultant
Pay Rate: $55–$59 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking experienced Structures Installation Mechanics to partner with a world-renowned aerospace leader. In this role, you’ll be part of the expert team responsible for assembling and installing precision structural components that define the performance, reliability, and safety of aircraft across commercial and defense programs — including the 787, 737, and 777. Your craftsmanship will help ensure every aircraft takes flight with excellence built in.
Assemble, install, seal, rig, and inspect structural and system components using blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
Perform precision fitting, forming, and functional testing of assemblies and sub-assemblies to verify accuracy and performance.
Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete high-quality installations.
Apply shop mathematics and analytical skills to ensure all work meets engineering and quality control standards.
Verify compliance with process and engineering specifications, documenting and reporting any discrepancies.
Maintain tools and equipment certifications, and perform routine minor maintenance as part of Total Preventative Maintenance duties.
Support continuous product flow through collaboration and cross-training with team members.
Train and assist other mechanics in assembly, installation, and inspection techniques.
Operate conventional and CNC fastening equipment with less than simultaneous 3-axis movement.

Assembly/Installation of Structures
Sealer Application
Sub-Assembly
Door Assembly/Installation
Integral Fuel Cell Sealing
Precision Bench Assembly
Pressure & Vacuum Testing
Fillet Seal and Electrical Bond Application
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in aircraft structural assembly and installation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and process documentation.
Strong understanding of quality assurance and inspection procedures.
Experience with fillet seal, electrical bonding, and precision fitting.
Ability to perform detailed, high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with 787, 737, or 777 programs or other large aircraft assembly.
SIA (Self-Inspection Authority) qualification or cross-training in inspection.
Familiarity with CNC or automated fastening equipment.
