Contract Type: Full-Time, 6-Month Consultant
Starting Pay Rate: $44.10 per hour
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly motivated Employee Development Specialist to partner with a global aerospace leader. In this dynamic role, you’ll design, implement, and deliver training programs that empower employees to perform at their best — strengthening both individual capabilities and organizational success. Your work will directly support cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing and help develop the skilled workforce driving innovation in flight.
Define project scope, recommend deliverables, and manage resources for training initiatives.
Lead the development, review, and deployment of training curriculum and instructional materials.
Identify and adapt learning objectives and delivery methods to meet business-specific needs.
Perform as a lead instructor, facilitating high-impact training and coaching sessions.
Conduct Train-the-Trainer programs to qualify additional instructors and expand training capacity.
Analyze performance data and recommend improvements to enhance employee development outcomes.
Collaborate with engineers, curriculum designers, and other stakeholders to design engaging, effective learning experiences.
Develop creative learning tools such as job aids, guided practice, and capstone activities to reinforce skills after training.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in learning strategy and technical instruction.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations or manufacturing support.
Proven experience as an instructor, coach, or employee development specialist.
Expertise in developing and delivering leadership or technical training programs.
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and detailed work instructions.
Hands-on experience with electrical systems or as a mechanic working with electrical components.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 10+ years related experience).
Aerospace Manufacturing or Lean Certification(s).
Experience creating data-driven training strategies that align with business goals.
