PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of advanced control systems for Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) gas turbine engines. This role is part of a high-impact team within the Engines & Power Systems business, focused on airborne electronic hardware and system-level solutions.

About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will lead efforts across the full product lifecycle—from concept and design to production support and end-of-life. You’ll work cross-functionally to resolve production issues, manage engineering changes, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as DO-254. Your expertise will drive innovation and reliability in safety-critical aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Factory Support:
  • Resolve production support cases and release Engineering Change Notices
  • Provide technical substantiation for design changes
  • Guide engineers and coordinate workload distribution
  • Collaborate with component engineering, certification, test services, and configuration management teams
Design & Integration:
  • Manage Approved Source List and build-to-print drawings
  • Reconcile product requirements with system-level specifications
  • Integrate product designs into larger systems and applications
Communication & Component Management:
  • Serve as the primary contact for suppliers, customers, and project engineers
  • Participate in planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking
  • Author and manage coordination memos and responses
Compliance & Assurance:
  • Ensure design assurance for airborne electronic hardware
  • Support nuclear hardening design assurance for Electronic Control Units
Required Qualifications
  • Experience developing Circuit Card Assemblies and Printed Circuit Boards
  • Proficiency in circuit analysis and modeling
  • Experience writing substantiation/justification for change documents for electronic components
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing
  • Strong background in product development, systems integration, and production support for aerospace electronics
  • Familiarity with electrical, electromechanical, fuel, hydraulic, and actuation systems
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Pay Details: $41.25 per hour
