Test Engineer

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Test Engineer to support mission-critical aerospace systems in partnership with a global leader in space innovation. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of testing the software, hardware, and systems that will power next-generation space applications—from satellites to advanced communication systems.

Execute test scripts to verify software, hardware, and system requirements for space-bound applications.
Support integration and test activities for RF-based systems such as RADAR, SIGINT, and COMMS.
Operate and maintain RF test equipment including Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Power Meters.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve test outcomes.
Contribute to data collection, documentation, and analysis for certification and compliance purposes.
Adapt to flexible shift work (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift) depending on project needs—critical to supporting real-time operations and deadlines.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) OR
High school diploma plus 4+ years of relevant military or defense industry experience with sensor systems (ideally RADAR).
Experience in integration, test, or operations of military/defense systems.
Ability and willingness to work dedicated shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) for up to one year.
Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with RADAR and/or Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) systems.
Exposure to space payloads or satellite integration in a cleanroom environment.
Programming experience in C or MATLAB; scripting in Python or Tcl.
Familiarity with modern engineering collaboration tools like Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
Knowledge of RF systems and test procedures in a high-reliability environment.
