PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Material Coordinator to join our innovative team in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring smooth operations by managing tools, materials, and supplies essential to our aerospace programs.
What You’ll Do
As a Material Coordinator, you’ll be the linchpin in maintaining and managing our program tool crib area. You’ll also work closely with suppliers and customers to guarantee compliance with site processes and procedures. Key responsibilities include:
Inventory Management: Process, verify, route, store, and track materials while maintaining accurate records.
Shipping & Receiving: Inspect shipments, resolve discrepancies, and prepare materials for storage or distribution.
Tool & Material Control: Ensure tools and supplies meet all program and regulatory requirements.
Operations Support: Use warehouse equipment, manage hazardous materials, and operate vehicles and equipment for material handling.
Collaboration & Reporting: Work with cross-functional teams, analyze schedules, and resolve material-related challenges to meet program goals.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and have a passion for excellence. The following qualifications are required:
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience with computer-based inventory or warehouse management systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
1+ years of experience managing Government property (acquisition, inventory, utilization, etc.).
Familiarity with stockroom/crib procedures and warehouse equipment.
Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 35 pounds, working on elevated platforms, and wearing protective gear.
Availability for rotating shifts.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for material and inventory control.
Experience with hazardous materials and tool management in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to maintain meticulous documentation and compliance with safety standards.
