PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Technician, Avionics & Electronics to join a leading partner in the aviation industry in Dallas, Texas. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for local candidates with 4+ years of corporate experience and a passion for precision, troubleshooting, and technical excellence.
Pay Rate: $28–$40/hour (based on experience)
As an Avionics & Electronics Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic systems. Your expertise ensures aircraft safety, reliability, and peak performance, making a direct impact on the operational success of our aviation clients.
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.
Document all work according to manuals and regulatory requirements.
Operate ground support equipment safely as needed.
Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
Support other maintenance disciplines and off-site maintenance activities.
Maintain adherence to safety policies and participate in 5-S activities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals and operational excellence.
Required:
Avionics / Electrical Technical School or equivalent experience.
2–6 years of avionics work experience or equivalent.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on corporate or commercial aircraft.
Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Own basic set of hand tools and demonstrate tool inventory control.
Ability to work unscheduled overtime, including holidays and weekends.
Ability to work outdoors in seasonal/inclement weather.
Basic PC skills.
Ability to obtain SIDA badge if required.
Preferred:
Customer-specific certifications (Commercial Aircraft).
A, P, or A&P Certification.
GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate.
