Lead Hardware Testing in Aerospace – Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer (Onsite)
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer to support a critical aerospace manufacturing program. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on the design, development, and implementation of hardware testing strategies for avionics systems.
About the Role
As a Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, performing stress and performance tests, and supporting hardware validation efforts. You’ll work onsite with a collaborative team and report directly to engineering leadership. This role requires strong technical judgment, creativity, and the ability to lead and direct others.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and support the design, development, and implementation of hardware for avionics products
- Develop test strategies, devices, and systems for circuit boards, processors, and wiring
- Perform stress and performance testing to ensure product reliability
- Lead and direct tasks as needed, applying creativity and technical expertise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and report findings to management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 4–6 years of experience in hardware testing or a related area
- Familiarity with industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong judgment and experience in planning and executing goals
- Ability to work onsite full-time
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
- Strong background in system-level testing and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Python, C, LabWindows CVI, and LabVIEW
- Familiarity with RF equipment and test instruments
- Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178, DO-254 certification processes
- Experience with embedded operating systems
- Ability to develop code from schematics and build rack stack ATE systems

Pay Details: $69.00 per hour
