PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global aerospace leader to find a skilled Manufacturing$41.9 Planner to join their high-performance team at an advanced manufacturing facility. Located onsite at our partner’s state-of-the-art facility this is a full-time opportunity with 2 shift options, a 4x10 schedule (Monday–Thursday), and the potential for overtime.
Your Impact: Keeping Aerospace Assembly on Track,
As a Manufacturing Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining and documenting how aircraft parts and assemblies come together—translating engineering concepts into real-world production. Your efforts ensure every component is built precisely, efficiently, and in line with delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and illustrations to reflect as-built configurations.
Assist with supplier integration to ensure manufacturing requirements and quality standards are met.
Identify tooling needs, initiate tooling orders, and assist in dispositioning tooling for production.
Investigate and resolve manufacturing issues of limited scope with engineering and production teams.
Conduct reproducibility assessments and provide feedback to improve design and manufacturability.
Support development of work statements and production sequencing to meet project schedules.
Maintain and monitor internal documentation for accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Collaborate across departments to support continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
Qualifications – What You Bring
Basic Requirements:
4+ years of experience in manufacturing planning and production support
Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
Strong skills in reading/interpreting engineering drawings, process procedures, and standardized work instructions
Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Experience:
Associate’s degree in a STEM field
Experience with Model-Based Design, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Proficiency in MESci, Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems (e.g., CompassContract)
Familiarity with Windchill or other engineering databases
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts effectively
