JOB TITLE: General Fabrication Specialist
LOCATION: New Orleans, LA
PAY RATE: $26-36.50/hour

Job Details:
Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift (6:00 AM 2:30 PM) | Potential move to 2nd Shift (2:00 PM 10:30 PM) based on workload
Work Schedule: No 9x80 | Occasional weekend OT depending on workload.

Summary:
Operate and maintain specialized Friction Stir Welding (FSW) machinery.
Prepare materials, inspect welds for quality, and perform routine machine maintenance.
Collaborate with engineers on process development and problem-solving.
Perform welding, machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending, and extrusion tasks.
Assemble and repair mechanical, electro-mechanical, and avionics components.
Conduct composite lay-up, soldering, wire harness assembly, and system installation.
Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices.
Apply coatings for corrosion protection and appearance standards.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
3+ years operating Friction Stir Welding machinery.
Strong knowledge of welding tools, metallurgy, and welding processes.
Ability to work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams.
