Test Engineer – Drive Innovation in Aerospace Manufacturing

Pay Rate: $35 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Test Engineer to join our partner, a global leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will play a critical part in testing and validating advanced chiller systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability before reaching customers worldwide.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct final acceptance and design verification testing, including burn-in and temperature testing.

• Collect, analyze, and present test data using Excel, data acquisition equipment, and other software.

• Perform troubleshooting on new production units to ensure quality and functionality.

• Complete Acceptance Test Forms, work orders, and documentation of the full testing process.

• Review engineering and manufacturing documents for accuracy.

• Carry out detailed inspections and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) using electrical and mechanical test equipment.

• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to support on-time delivery and top-tier product quality.

Qualifications You Must Have

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, OR 5+ years of experience in HVAC and data plotting/analysis.

• Strong computer skills and data analysis experience.

• Hands-on experience with data acquisition devices, amp clamps, multimeters, and TC readers.

• Universal Refrigeration Technician – EPA 608 Certification required.

• Ability to work independently and in teams with strong attention to detail.

• Steel toe boots required.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience testing machinery or equipment.

• Electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Hands-on work with pumping systems or similar.

• Experience using advanced data acquisition systems.

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
